The weather is warm and comfortable, and it’s the perfect time to get outdoors and enjoy the beautiful Sanibel beaches. While the City continues the recovery process from Hurricane Ian, some beaches and amenities are closed to allow for reconstruction and restoration. What are the beaches currently open on Sanibel? Gulfside City Park

Gulfside City Beach Park is one of the most beautiful Sanibel beaches, and there are plenty of amenities that make it a great place to stop. There are 46 parking spaces that accept A or B parking permits (or you can pay the general parking fee of $5 per hour). Additionally, there are bike racks, outdoor showers, drinking fountains, restrooms, barbecue grills, picnic areas, information kiosks, and a shade pavilion.

Tarpon Bay

Tarpon Bay Road Beach Park is a lovely place to enjoy the great outdoors. There are 76 parking spaces, as well as two RV-friendly parking spaces and bike racks. Tarpon Bay Road Beach Park has outside showers, drinking fountains, restrooms, picnic areas, and beach access. A or B parking permits are accepted or you can pay the parking fee of $5 per hour.

Bowman’s Beach

Bowman’s Beach Park is one of the most beautiful Sanibel beaches. It offers plenty of parking, with 220 spaces, three RV spaces, and two kayak trailer spaces in addition to bike racks. There are outdoor changing rooms and showers, as well as drinking foundations and vending machines. There are restrooms, picnic areas, barbecue grills, fitness trails, shade pavilions, information kiosks, and a kayak launch.

Blindpass Beach Park

This one of Sanibel’s beaches is on the west end of the island and features beach access, 29 parking spaces, bike racks, and the gorgeous views that you expect during your visit to the island.

Turner Beach

The Turner Beach Park is located close to the Sanibel beaches in nearby Captiva just over the bridge. This beach has 26 parking spaces, bike racks, drinking foundations, and outside showers. There are also restrooms available if you need one!
