The Sanibel Community House hosts a monthly Arts & Crafts fair, and this month’s is taking place on December 17. This fun event is the perfect opportunity to browse holiday gifts including original art, books, holiday cards, handmade accessories, jewelry, décor, baked goods, and more! There are over 40 local makers and artists who will be offering their wares. This event to celebrate the holidays takes place at The Community House on Sanibel Island.
Enjoy Santa’s Dolphin and Wildlife Cruise to Picnic Island
Adventures in Paradise is offering a fun Santa cruise on Christmas Eve. Board a boat and cruise out to see dolphins and visit with Santa himself. You can also have pictures taken with Santa once you arrive on the island. There is limited availability, so you should reserve your spot online ahead of time and make reservations. This event will take place from 10 AM-12 PM on December 24, 2023.
Take in a Christmas Movie and Support Sanibel Schools
On Friday, December 15, The Sanibel School will be inviting the community to celebrate the holidays at their second annual Holiday Movie on the Lawn. Come early at 5:30 for great seats and to enjoy delicious eats from local food trucks. The family-friendly holiday movie will start approximately 15-30 minutes after sunset. This event is completely free, but you should bring your own chairs and blankets.
Sing Holiday Tunes at Now and Then: A Holiday Song Celebration
At BIG ARTS Sanibel, you can gather together for a fun community concert to celebrate the holidays. This tradition for Sanibel and Captiva Islands features the BIG ARTS Community Chorus and The Sanibel School’s Seahorse Chorale and Elementary Choir. This year’s event is taking place on December 19 at 6:30 PM, and it’s completely free. BIG ARTS Sanibel is also hosting a screening of The Polar Express on December 21st.
